SITE ACCESIBILITY

The www.inturjoven.com website has been designed and reviewed in accordance with the Accessibility Guidelines or General Principles of Accessible Design set out in 'Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0', published by the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) working group, which is part of the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). These guidelines aim to make information available on the Web accessible to the greatest possible number of users, independently of personal or technological limitations.

We have implemented these WAI Accessibility Guidelines and are compliant with level AAA. The main measures which have been adopted include the following:

STANDARDS

The HTML and CSS code used complies with formal grammars to guarantee that content is viewed correctly in different browsers. All pages have been validated with W3C XHTML

Key combinations vary depending on the browser and the browser version used. The most common key combinations are as follows:

Microsoft Windows-based systems use a combination of ALT + hotkey (Internet Explorer 4.0, Netscape, Mozilla Firebird) or ALT + hotkey followed by ENTER (Internet Explorer 5 or higher) or Caps + Esc to activate hotkeys in Opera.
MacOS systems use the CONTROL + hotkey.

DESIGN, NAVIGATION AND INTERACTION

We have attempted to make navigation consistent over the entire site, using the same structural outline on all pages. In addition, direct links have been included which provide access to the content of each page, and the use of JavaScript for interaction with the site has been avoided as much as possible. The information has been kept separate from the graphical elements, so that users who so wish can navigate faster through the content by disabling the download of style sheets in their browser. A breadcrumb trail has been used on all pages to enable users to keep track of the path they have taken to get to the current page. There is also a Site map which gives access to every section of the website.

ACCESSIBILITY LEVEL

The website has been validated using the TAW tool and checked on different devices; the general level of accessibility is Triple A (AAA) over the entire website, except for ONLINE RESERVATIONS, which, due to its complexity, will be included in a later phase of the project.
